RF Engineer · Marine · Builder

Thirty years chasing signals — from CB radio to 5G.

I got into CB radio as a kid because I couldn't understand how pressing a button somewhere could cause a reaction somewhere else, with nothing carrying it in between. That question has driven everything since. Today I'm an RF Engineer at T-Mobile, designing and optimizing the 5G infrastructure that makes wireless work — the invisible architecture underneath everything.

Before 5G there was Sprint, and Ericsson, and Alamosa PCS, and a switch in Appleton I helped build from nothing. Before telecom there was the Marine Corps — Field Radio Operator, 3rd Battalion 5th Marines, four years keeping communications alive in the field. And alongside all of it: Cre8lab, a nonprofit makerspace I co-founded in Neenah to give Fox Valley kids the same spark a CB radio gave me.

The Fox Valley's only nonprofit makerspace — a 501(c)3 STEM education center in Neenah, Wisconsin. Co-founded with Eric Brehm in 2019. We built out the space ourselves, ran workshops in soldering, electronics, CNC, woodworking, and robotics for youth and adults across the community. Survived COVID, donated 28,000 ear savers to frontline workers in 2020, and ran for five years before demand outgrew what two people and their families could sustainably carry. Closed with pride.
